NexCore Group Opens New HATCHspaces® Life Sciences Building in Boulder
HATCHlabs @ Wilderness Place, a new initiative by NexCore Group and HATCHspaces®, debuted on January 17, 2024, transforming the historic Boulder Beer Company Brewery into a cutting-edge hub for emerging life sciences companies. This marks the fourth project under NexCore Science & Technology and the ninth for HATCHspaces.
The facility offers purpose-built laboratory infrastructure catering to early to mid-growth companies, featuring turnkey labs and customizable spaces. Allan Glass, NexCore’s Executive Vice President, highlighted the importance of providing affordable lab space for startups and partnering with nearby CU Boulder. The partnership extends to an internship program with CU Boulder, facilitating collaboration between students and industry partners. Positioned strategically in Boulder, home to renowned research institutions, HATCHlabs @ Wilderness Place aims to bolster the region’s life sciences industry.
Inspired by the brewery’s legacy, the design fosters an atmosphere of innovation and community. The initiative has garnered praise from Elyse Blazevich, President & CEO of the Colorado BioScience Association, underscoring the importance of such endeavors in supporting biotech startups.
